Dear clients,

At our clinic, we strive to be transparent and provide you with complete information, including pricing. Below you will find a detailed breakdown of the full week of therapy. None of the three components of the total price can be omitted from the treatment or undergone separately, with the exception of Scintigraphy.

Initial examination, including blood tests

This examination must be performed in the morning or forenoon upon admission to initiate scintigraphy and treatment.

Scintigraphy

The diagnostic procedure involves administering technetium to the cat, followed by a scan using a gamma camera to determine the size and number of lesions containing cancer cells.

Iodine therapy requiring hospitalization

The treatment phase, during which the cat is administered radioactive iodine. This phase typically requires a 5-day hospital stay, care, and monitoring (Monday through Friday), all of which are included in the price.

The total final amount is therefore 2.700 EUR (incl. VAT.)

If your cat has a valid and active PetExpert insurance policy, the costs may be covered by it.

Comparison of one-time treatment vs. pharmacotherapy with medication:

A single course of radioactive iodine therapy therefore costs 65,000 CZK / 2.700 EUR. In contrast, treatment with Thiamazole plus checkups on average once every three months costs 80,000–100,000 CZK / 3.300 – 4.150 EUR over four years.

Standalone scintigraphy examination… 29,000 CZK / 1.200 EUR incl. VAT
A modern diagnostic method allowing for the visualization of organ and tissue function, used not only in the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism but also for selected oncology, orthopedic, and other internal medicine patients. The examination includes providing a report to the attending oncologist or other specialist.
